The public as well tends to relate quickly with events that are keeping up to date with new trends and they tend to spread news about them in a social and word of mouth buzz. Therefore let’s look at some of the trends going on in the event branding scene and why you should be adopting any one of them.
- Event Apps
Events are starting to take events by storm. Event holders and brands are now beginning to design and create interactive apps for their events so that their guests can interact with them both at the event and outside their events. Event apps could also give notifications to where different activities are going on at different times during the event. Moreover, the event apps play an important role in getting that important feedback from guests on their experiences and thoughts about the event and whether they were satisfied with the outcome.
- Gift bags are now digital
Previously, events used to dish out physical gift cards to some of their attendees with the hope that they could connect with their audience and instill a memorable experience in their minds. However, these gift cards are now being phased out and instead going digital whereby attendees receive online gift vouchers and other offers for whichever stores they would wish to shop from. One would say this is a way of going green and being eco-friendly as it has significantly reduced the stress on the environment through pollution.
- Plastic money is the new cash
Venue holders and guest and attendees are increasingly adopting the use of credit and debit cards and other forms of mobile money payments such as bitcoin and those on smartphones to replace the usual use of cash. - Livestreaming
Livestreaming has taken a strong foothold on events. People are increasingly sharing some of their experiences as they happen to friends and family and even to a greater audience. Apps such as snapchat and Instagram stories have made this possible and with the ever increasing use of social media others are even using some of their live experiences and sharing them on these platforms.
