Responsibilities of the Directly Responsible Individual -Trainings Department
The Directly Responsible Individual- trainings department is appointed to manage the academic department at Janeson Ideas. He/ She will head the training department and remain answerable to the Janeson Ideas Management.
Summary
The prime role of the DRI of trainings is to provide strong academic leadership, having to follow up on trainers, trainees, financial responsibilities and marketability of the department.
The DRI is required to lead, manage and develop the trainings department to ensure the highest possible standards of excellence in all activities.
The DRI is required to exercise leadership, demonstrate vision, and empower others in order to deliver the agreed departmental policies.
Specifically, the role will include:
- Leadership and Management
- Contribute to the overall leadership and management of the department.
- Develop and sustain appropriate structures for management, consultation, decision-making and communication with trainers and trainees
- Promote and represent the trainings department both internally and externally
- Responsibility for Teaching and Students
- Fulfilment of responsibilities concerning students in respect of their admission, instruction, progress and examination;
- Refresh and develop new programmed in order to attract new students and markets
- Responsibility for Research and marketing
- Ensure the highest levels of quality, integrity and ethics in all research undertaken
- Create a dynamic and forward looking research environment for both staff and students
- Knowledge Transfer
- Create and exploit new opportunities for knowledge transfer activity in order to secure additional income streams and new areas of teaching and/or research
- Contribute to initiatives in order to improve understanding and communication of this area
- Staff Management
- Ensure that departmental policies and procedures are implemented
- Ensure that trainers performance is managed appropriately and in a way that is consistent with the expectations of the department, and that fair workload allocation processes are in place.
- Ensure all staff have access to the necessary support to enable them to contribute fully and develop their skills and experience
- Foster a culture of excellence, co-operation and respect both within and beyond the department
- Ensure students are included as appropriate in the various decision making meetings within the department
- Financial Management
- Take responsibility for devolved budgets and comply with financial regulations
- Ensure that equipment/facilities under the department´s control are properly maintained and serviced as required.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure all activities are carried out to the highest possible standards and put in place the necessary evaluation and monitoring procedures to ensure both compliance and improvement: such procedures will include teaching, research and management of all resources
- Comply with auditing, quality assurance and risk management procedures both internal and external
- Development of Academic/Research Standing
- Continue to develop one’s position as a leading academic researcher; including publication, securing of external funding and the pursuit of other relevant indicators of standing in the field
- Marketing & Market Research
- Ensure that our training & courses are shared on a daily basis via social platforms and other platforms where the information will be visible to the market.
- Collaborating with company’s designers & video editors to develop the graphics & other visual content content which are relevant for communication of our trainings and marketing purposes.
- Constantly come up with new course entries, and work to improve the existing courses based on any loop holes that will be identified and from the feedback from students and other stake holders.
