Depending on the available design, a moonwalk may feature a particular character, colour scheme, adventure concept or combination of bouncing and additional play features.

We also arrange deliveries outside Nairobi, making our themed moonwalk hire suitable for events across Kenya.

What Is a Themed Moonwalk?

A moonwalk is an inflatable jumping and bouncing attraction designed for children’s entertainment. A themed moonwalk adds decorative artwork or a particular visual concept to the traditional inflatable design.

Themed inflatables are particularly popular because they can become part of the overall party decoration rather than simply functioning as an entertainment item.

For example, a children’s birthday party might have a particular colour or character theme, with the moonwalk serving as the centrepiece of the children’s activity area. Other decorations such as balloon garlands, themed backdrops and table decorations can then be coordinated around it.

Some moonwalk designs are simple bouncing houses, while others are combo-style inflatables incorporating features such as slides or obstacle sections. The exact features depend on the particular unit selected.

Why Hire a Themed Moonwalk?

A themed moonwalk offers more than simply a place for children to jump.

It Creates an Exciting Party Attraction

Large, colourful inflatables immediately attract children’s attention. A themed moonwalk can become one of the main attractions at your event.

It Complements Your Party Theme

If your child has chosen a particular party theme, a matching inflatable can help bring that theme into the entertainment area.

It Encourages Active Play

Children can jump, move and play rather than spending the entire event sitting at tables.

It Creates a Dedicated Children’s Area

At weddings, corporate functions and larger gatherings, a moonwalk can establish a dedicated space for children’s activities.

It Works With Other Entertainment

A themed moonwalk can be combined with face painting, balloon twisting, party games, trampolines, mascots, magic shows and other entertainment.

Themed Moonwalk Hire for Children’s Birthday Parties

One of the most popular reasons to hire a themed moonwalk is a children’s birthday party.

A birthday party can be transformed into a complete themed experience by combining the inflatable with coordinated decorations.

For example, you can create a children’s entertainment package consisting of:

• Themed moonwalk

• Balloon garland

• Balloon backdrop

• Birthday cake table

• Face painting

• Glitter tattoos

• Balloon twisting

• Party games

• Mascot appearance

• Children’s music

• Piñata

• Photography area

The moonwalk gives children an active attraction while the rest of the décor creates the visual atmosphere of the celebration.

Indoor possibilities can include sufficiently large:

Before booking, check that there is enough room for the inflatable, including adequate clearance around it. For indoor events, ceiling height is particularly important.

Combining a Moonwalk With Party Entertainment

Themed moonwalk hire becomes even more effective when incorporated into a wider children’s entertainment package.

Moonwalk and Face Painting

Children can alternate between active play and face painting.

Moonwalk and Balloon Twisting

A balloon artist can create animals, flowers, hats and other balloon designs while children enjoy the inflatable.

Moonwalk and Mascots

A character mascot can complement the theme and provide photographs with the children.

Moonwalk and Party Games

Organised games can be scheduled throughout the party, giving children different activities.

Moonwalk and Balloon Décor

Balloon arches and garlands can be designed around the colours of the moonwalk.

Moonwalk and Children’s Shows

Magic shows, puppet shows and interactive children’s performances can be combined with inflatable entertainment.

Choosing a Themed Moonwalk

When selecting a moonwalk, consider:

• The age of the children

• Number of children attending

• Event location

• Available floor space

• Indoor or outdoor setup

• Party theme

• Event duration

• Other entertainment being hired

Tell us the date, venue and approximate number and ages of children, and we can help identify an appropriate available option.

Safety and Supervision

Inflatables should always be operated according to the manufacturer’s specifications and the hire company’s operating instructions.

Children should be supervised while using the equipment, and users should follow the age, capacity and usage requirements applicable to the particular inflatable.

The setup area should be checked for hazards before installation, and the inflatable should be securely installed according to the equipment requirements.

Professional setup is particularly useful for large inflatables because the equipment must be positioned and secured correctly before children begin playing.

Why Hire From a Professional Party Equipment Company?

Hiring a moonwalk involves more than transporting an inflatable from one location to another. Large inflatable equipment needs appropriate installation, anchoring and pack-down.

A professional hire service can handle:

• Delivery

• Setup

• Positioning

• Installation

• Event-day support where arranged

• Collection

• Equipment inspection

This allows parents, schools and event organisers to concentrate on the actual celebration.
